CYANOTYPES

Cyanotype is a 170-year-old photographic printing process that produces prints in a distinctive dark greenish-blue. The word cyan comes from the Greek, meaning “dark blue substance.” Over the last 4 years I’ve been documenting the growing underground music scene in the Bronx and the creatives that are emerging from it. Displaying my photography in a cyanotype format is my way of expressing the grittiness and cultural diffusion found within these underground subcultures of my generation.
